There are 5 type of generations
- First 1940 to 56 use of vacuum tubes.
- Second generation 1956 to 63 use of transistors.
- 3rd generation 1964 to 1971 use of integrated circuits.
- 4th generation of computer use of microprocessors are very large scale integrated circuit.
- 5th generation present to beyond super large scale integrated circuits or bio-chips.
